Oystershell supports the Ghent Book Tower
The Book Tower of the University of Ghent is undoubtedly a masterpiece of the 1930's modernistic architecture. Designed by the great Art Nouveau architect Henry Van de Velde and constructed in an avant-garde technique of concrete sliding, the tower was at that time a dazzling architectural feat.
From its inception, the Book Tower has housed a library of over 1 million pieces. For Oystershell, this unique repository makes the tower a grand symbol of human knowledge and progress.
Unfortunately, the building is now in dangerously bad shape and drastic repairs are urgently needed. Because Oystershell's business depends entirely on knowledge and innovation, we have decided to support the works by sponsoring one of the 352 steps of the immense staircases.
